ZOOM and FastForward A.K.A Fast Cash Game
Fast-paced poker cash game
There are lots of formats of poker. They most commonly differenciate in tournament game, but the changes have also been made in a relatively unchanging cash game. One of the most dramatic changes is the arrival of the so-called fast cash game format. This does not replace the classic cash game, but it is a new option for cash game players.
Fast cash game was introduced by Full Tilt Poker (now owned by PokerStars) and was called Rush Poker. Other poker roomes responded and this new format was also employed. Players can now enjoy ZOOM on PokerStars or FastForward on Party Poker. Even though the names are different, it is the same poker format. How is fast cash game different from classic cash game?
- The new hand comes instantly after the fold: In the classic cash game, the same players sit at each table. They can sit in out and change over time, but not with every hand. In fast cash game, the table seatings change in each hand. A player who discards his cards is instantly seated for a new game with completely different players.
- We are not sitting at a table, we join player pool: Seating to new tables with each hand means, that we do not pick the tables but we join a pool of players who want to play the fast format too. The tables are created instantly when they can be seated by the players who have finished their hand just joined the game
- Acceleration and omission of tedious passages: Some players take a long to finish their hand. It does not matter in fast cash game, because you leave the table instantly after you fold and waiting for the other players is completely eliminated, because whenever a player discards the cards, he immediately plays a new hand. The game can also be observed after the fold, if someone is interested in the outcome of a hand even though they did not participate.
